Facilities Planning Next Steps

After we spent the summer of 2011 talking to members about plans for Donaldson Run facilities improvements, our planning efforts took a lengthy hiatus this fall and winter as we awaited action by Arlington County on our request for variances from the County’s Water Recreation Facilities ordinance.  The County process took a lot longer than we anticipated, but the wait has paid off: on February 3rd we received notice that the County granted our variance requests.  The variances will help us address important design issues and allow us to make progress toward finalizing a comprehensive facilities plan for consideration by our members.  We look forward to getting back to work on the facilities plan.
